IT HAPPENNED AGAIN IN UNILORIN CENTRAL MOSQUE.
Exactly 15th January, 2016, a group of thugs invaded UNILORIN central mosque wearing MSSN jackets. Their physical appearance looked like that of a Muslim but their behavior didn't portray the religion they claimed. They were later identified to be MSSN excos. They harassed and assaulted some Muslim Students in the mosque while observing prayer and Islamic rites. They molested some of the sisters there too. The incident was recorded and still intact in my archive.
The issue was escalated to the school security unit and school management and several steps were taken in putting justice to the case but it wasn't successful as those culprits were not convicted for the atrocities they committed. For Allah's sake and to allow peace reign, the students that were harassed withdrew the case.
Yesterday 19/06/2018, the same thing that happened 2years ago repeat itself. Some hoodlums invaded UNILORIN central Mosque led by the Amir of the MSSN of the school, Adeyanju Ibrahim Adeyemi ( Combine law, 500L). They bullied some set of Muslim Students sitting in the mosque and having their meeting around 6pm. The Amir slapped one of the brothers while others harassed sisters publicly. A brother was beaten to the point of coma. Some of the people around tried to cover the incident but their phones were collected and destroyed immediately.
The issue has been reported to the security unit. Presently, we are hearing a rumor that they are trying to withdraw the case from the security unit.
WHY?
In sha'a Allah, we shall know the reason and unveil the truth.

ReplyDeleteA sect that hides under dressing and appearance to call themselves Muslims, no Islam is not all about that but about the treatment of the nafs and purification of the soul to elevate the qalb and leave the state of animals. Its obvious they are still animals hence their behavior towards a fellow Muslim.
If they are indeed followers of nabiyi (s.a.w) as they claimed they will know that he (s.a.w) said that there is no compulsion in religion, a whole religion not to talk of one useless sect. Must we all be wahabi/salafi?
It's high time everyone become aware of this numskulls that hide under the umbrella of Mssn, high time parent give their children proper knowledge and understanding of the religion before their admission into the university so that they won't be vulnerable to the poisonous teachings of Mssn and become hard hearted terrorist or suicide bombers.
Everyone should be aware that avoiding Mssn doesn't mean one is no longer a Muslim but that one doesn't want to become a salafi/wahabi terrorist.
Student with prior understanding of Islam should rather stick to their prior understanding than joining this so called Mssn. Don't get to the university and become terrorist, wahabi/salafi, suicide bomber or people that believe they are better than others.
Actions should therefore be taken from appropriate quarters to save fellow Muslims from this dangerous sect of Mssn.

I don't think it is right to let a bad apple spoil the rest.. Those that attacked our fellow Timsanites are ignorant individuals who call themselves Muslims, unfortunately they are part of MSSN excos.. MSSN should represent all Muslims irrespective of our different sects. Islam is peace and I think it is more mature to address this issue peaceful. Let say no to being wrongly represented because Timsanites are Muslims so is MSSN to the larger community .
ReplyDeleteIt totally unbelievably that such thing can in ilorin lest a university. I was the first president of Islamic Sufi oriented student of Ogun state university. Even though we had little issue but it was finally resolved by understanding that MNNS is an umbrella for all Muslim students and likes the school mosque. Mnns does not belong to any sect.
ReplyDeleteBut this is very unfair,if a Muslim can do this to his own Muslim sisters what will he or she do to a person dt is not Muslim. In fact, we need to act fast because those people called Book haram started like this too
